Brandon Harris entered the game for North Carolina in the second half against Louisville on Saturday.
|
Harris was the backup on Saturday behind redshirt freshman Chazz Surratt, who earned his first career starter. But Surratt came up gimpy after a run in the first half against the Cardinals and headed to the locker room late in the first half.
When halftime ended, it was Harris who was at quarterback instead of Surratt, who was shown on ESPN riding a bike on the sideline.
Surratt completed 12 of 14 passes for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the start. Louisville led 20-14 at halftime.
Harris started in Week 1, a 35-30 loss against Cal. But the former LSU quarterback struggled, leading to struggles for the UNC offense as a whole and the decision from coach Larry Fedora to start Surratt against Louisville.
